Our feminist society has succeeded in emasculating and neutering men.  

Over the last few decades we have heard volumes about sensitivity, kindness, gentleness and sweetness.  While these can be admirable characteristics of a male, if these are the only characteristics he possesses he is destined to be a weenie, a wimp and a girlie man.   To be “whole” and healthy a man must possess characteristics of manhood, namely; courage, toughness, strength, character, and the ability to take care of himself and others.   If a man only possesses one extreme, he is lacking what it takes to be a Rugged Gentleman.

Some men in our culture have the luxury of living as boys much of their life.   Some men don’t even bother moving out of their mommy and daddy’s house.   Some don’t bother themselves with growing up and learning what healthy relationships are all about.   Some derive their worth from their cars, houses, clothes, jobs and status.   Some men simply don’t bother growing up.     And it is sad to see our culture allows them to get off of the hook and continue their irresponsible, immature ways.

It is time to grow up.   It is time to take responsiblity for yourself.  It is time to humbly serve your fellow man.  It is time to take care of your family.   It is time to be a responsible man.  It is time to be a Rugged Gentleman.
